“My first impression of Montana State was that I really appreciated how tight knit the university was and how much it was a part of the surrounding community. As soon as I walked on campus, it felt like home.”

“Walking onto campus for the first time, I found that MSU wasn’t like the other schools I had toured. Students and faculty held the door open for each other and said hello. Just these small acts of kindness made a lasting impression. Along with other things, I saw that MSU valued building a community for their students and not just provide a university to earn a degree from.”

“Being from the Minneapolis area, I never expected to find such an amazing and dynamic university in Bozeman, MT. From scholarships to research opportunities, MSU has provided me with everything I could want from a university. When someone asks me about MN vs MT I like to say "Montana is just like Minnesota if you trade the lakes for mountains and get rid of the mosquitoes!"

“I chose to attend MSU because it was a place where I could maximize my opportunities. I love the outdoors, so being in a city driven by outdoor activities was important to me. The Honors College as well as the research and scholarship opportunities provided by MSU were just a couple of the reasons I knew I could have an amazing experience.”

“Alaska has always had a special place in my heart and when looking at college, I didn’t want to sacrifice what I love about my home state. MSU is surrounded by mountains, great for skiing and hiking, and blue ribbon rivers for fly fishing so I didn’t have to give up any of my favorite Alaskan hobbies when coming to college. The amazing undergrad research programs were a plus too. MSU combines all my favorite parts of Alaska with unparalleled academic programs and really is the best of both worlds.”
