Orientation for Parents and Families
In an effort to prioritize the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, MSU has decided to cancel our in-person summer sessions and transition to an online Orientation/Class registration program this year. At this time, students are still encouraged to sign up for the Orientation/Class Registration session that works best for them to register for their fall semester courses and secure their spot at MSU. From there, we will follow up with them with any and all information pertaining to next steps towards enrolling in fall semester courses. To stay up-to-date on our virtual campus visit programs, and how our office is responding, please visit our virtual visit information page.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our in-person Parent and Family Orientation Programs have been canceled. Instead, parents are invited to view valuable online resources available at the conclusion of your student's online Orientation/Class Registration program. These resources will cover information on your student's academic course curriculum, student support services, confirming one's bill, contact information and more. These resources will be provided free of charge.
To make sure that you receive notifications about the Parent and Family Orientation Information, up to two parents and/or family members can provide their contact information on their student's Orientation registration form at the time that the student registers. If your student has previously registered for Orientation and you do not already receive emails from MSU, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your first and last name and your preferred email.
If you had already registered and paid the $50 Program Fee for the in-person Parent and Family Orientation Program, a refund of $50 will be processed.
