Community-Based Environmental Management Program
“Peace Corps provided me the opportunity to live and work in a small farming community in the remote region of Chachapoyas, Amazonas. I helped establish new collaborative relationships between local educators, community leaders, government officials, and worked to improve natural resource management and environmental education. My experience in Peru yielded many lasting friendships and many lasting skills – including project management, grant writing, communication, team building and leadership. Back in Bozeman, I secured a job as Assistant Project Manager to the Big Sky Carbon Sequestration Partnership at MSU, and apply lessons from Peace Corps on a day-to-day basis.”
